Exciting In-Field Freelance Operative role

Location: London

Type: Freelance (Opportunity for Full-Time progression)

Schedule: Flexible, shifts available 24/7 (early mornings, daytime, evenings)

About the Opportunity: We’re looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and hands-on individuals to join our growing team as Freelance Operations Associate. If you enjoy being outdoors, staying active, and tackling practical challenges, this role could be the perfect fit for you!

You'll have the chance to grow within a dynamic startup environment, gaining valuable operational experience while enjoying a flexible schedule and potential for progression to full-time opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-field operations.
• Regularly inspect, maintain, and clean e-bikes and hubs (simple wiping, ensuring cleanliness).
• Perform manual tasks including lifting and moving equipment, tools, and bike parts.
• Collect litter, ensure general cleanliness, and perform regular hub inspections.
• Address and resolve problematic issues at hubs, including antisocial behaviour, vandalism, and rider issues.
• Enforce hub traffic flows and behavioural rules.
• Support internal bike collections and ranger activities.
• Transport equipment, tools, and spare parts riding e-bikes (with or without trailers), and comfortable with van driving (van provided).
• Be onsite for surveys, deliveries, loading/unloading, and other operational tasks.
• Use operational software and tools (email, Slack, g-suite etc.) effectively.

Ideal Candidate:

• Active and energetic, enjoys outdoor physical tasks.
• Flexible with working hours (early morning, daytime, night shifts available).
• Comfortable cycling e-bikes, operating bike trailers, and driving vans.
• Confident in performing manual and physical tasks.
• Able to manage responsibilities independently and proactively solve problems.
• Comfortable using basic software (Slack, email, operational apps).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage interactions at hubs.
• Self-starter, motivated, and enthusiastic about startup environments.
