Job summary

Fame Recruitment is seeking an Import & Logistics Coordinator for a hands-on role in North West London, coordinating international shipments from overseas suppliers to UK and European customers, ensuring smooth transport and accurate shipping and customs paperwork. The role requires experience in import/shipping, strong Excel skills and ability to liaise with freight forwarders, carriers and warehouses.

We are recruiting an Import & Logistics Coordinator to join an established international trading business based in North West London.

This is a hands‑on role coordinating international shipments from overseas suppliers through to UK and European customers, ensuring the smooth movement of goods and accurate shipping and customs documentation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating international shipments, primarily containerised sea freight.
• Liaising with freight forwarders, shipping lines, hauliers and warehouses.
• Managing shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, invoices and packing lists.
• Supporting customs clearance and import compliance.
• Coordinating warehouse deliveries and stock movements.
• Monitoring shipment ETAs, delays and associated logistics costs.
• Providing delivery updates and supporting internal sales teams.

About you:

• Previous experience in import, shipping or logistics administration.
• Good understanding of international shipping documentation and processes.
• Experience working with freight forwarders and customs agents.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident with Excel and general office systems.

Experience within food imports, agricultural commodities or similar sectors would be advantageous. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established international trading business with scope to develop your logistics and supply chain experience.
