Consortium Professional Recruitment Ltd and its client, a successful international FMCG business, are recruiting a Logistics Coordinator based in East Yorkshire. You will coordinate international import/export shipments, ensure on-time delivery and maintain accurate records across a busy global network.

We offer a competitive salary up to £30,000 per annum, a discretionary bonus and a supportive, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding or import and export coordination.
• An understanding of international shipping procedures, customs documentation and relevant import/export regulations.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
• Confidence using Microsoft Excel and familiarity with logistics or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating international import and export shipments, ensuring products reach their destinations efficiently and on schedule.
• Preparing shipping documentation, supporting customs clearance and ensuring compliance with relevant trade regulations and Incoterms.
• Liaising with freight forwarders, shipping lines, hauliers, suppliers and internal teams to maintain excellent service levels.
• Monitoring shipment schedules, resolving delivery challenges and maintaining accurate logistics records and systems.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, manage costs and support the movement of high-volume, time-sensitive FMCG products.

The Opportunity

As a Logistics Coordinator you’ll play a key role in:

• Coordinating international import and export shipments, ensuring products reach their destinations efficiently and on schedule.

About You

We’re looking for someone who can bring:

Experience within FMCG, manufacturing or distribution would be advantageous, although it’s not essential. We’re equally interested in hearing from people with transferable logistics experience who are motivated to develop their international trade knowledge.
