Confidential, based in the Southampton area, is seeking an Ocean Imports Operator to manage end-to-end ocean import shipments and maintain strong customer relationships. Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, specifically ocean imports.
• Experience managing customer accounts and import shipments independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage FCL and LCL ocean import shipments from start to finish.
• Process and check shipping documentation.
• Ensure compliance with customs and import procedures.
• Prepare and complete customs declarations.
• Provide shipment updates to customers by phone and email.
• Arrange deliveries with hauliers and service providers.
• Produce customer invoices and check supplier invoices.
• Provide proof of delivery documentation.
• Prepare quotations and arrange bookings for new shipments.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships and service levels.

A well-established international logistics business is seeking an Ocean Imports Operator to join its growing operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with ocean freight import experience who enjoys taking ownership of shipments and delivering a high level of customer service.

Day-to-day of the role:
