Job summary

Transcomm Recruitment is seeking an Ocean Import Clerk for a major UK and international freight forwarding organisation. The role covers end-to-end ocean imports, including origin bookings, customs clearance and organising UK deliveries for clients.

The team places emphasis on timely documentation, accurate tariffs, and strong customer service. Office-based with potential limited WFH after probation, with shifts across 0700-1730.

Qualifications

• Experience in Ocean Import or general freight industry such as road, air or customs.

Responsibilities

• Manage Ocean Import end-to-end from origin bookings to UK deliveries.
• Complete and check all documentation and ensure CFSP deadlines are met.
• Maintain accuracy of customs tariffs to improve efficiency and customer service.

A major UK & International freight forwarding organisation are looking for an Ocean Import Clerk (Client will take any Import Freight experience, ocean, air or road) to join their rapidly expanding Freight Team. ROLE: Ocean Export Clerk - Any Freight experienceLOCATION: SouthamptonBASIC SALARY: £28k to £35. dependent upon experience

Hours:Monday-Friday with 3 available shift patterns (0700-1530 / 0800-1630 / 0900-1730)

Office based only. Once probation is completed there may be some WFH options a few times a month.

Ocean Import from start to finish, completing and checking all documentation, dealing with clients.

Ensure all CFSP deadlines are met, both internal & those defined byCustoms

Ensure accurate use of Customs tariff within the team to both increase efficiency & Customer servicelevels.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Ocean Import experience ideal, however any experience in the freight industry can be considered, road, air or logistics, customs etc. Start to finish role Origin bookings, customs clearance, organising UK deliveries
