Job summary

YMCA Fairthorne Group in Basingstoke is seeking a Youth Engagement Worker to develop and deliver engaging programmes, activities and support that help young people build confidence and move toward independent lives.

You will work both one-to-one and in groups, using trauma-informed approaches, building trusted relationships and partnering with external agencies to provide opportunities in education, employment and training.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering programmes within a youth, adult or community-based setting.
• Experience supporting young people or adults with complex needs.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop, promote and deliver engaging daily activities and programmes for young people.
• Support, mentor, coach and walk alongside young people toward personal goals.
• Undertake risk assessments and support planning.
• Build positive relationships with residents and engage external partners.
