Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking a dedicated Personal Advisor to support care-experienced young people and those leaving care as they plan for adulthood. The role covers guidance, advocacy, and practical support across education, housing, health and employment in a dynamic, compassionate team.

You will work in a hybrid setting, manage varied caseloads, participate in Pathway Plan development, and collaborate with families and partners to secure positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people, ideally care experienced.
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
• Understanding of challenges moving to adulthood; ability to build relationships.
• Experience with relational practice; knowledge of systemic approaches is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with care-experienced and care leavers.
• Provide practical support, guidance and advocacy to navigate transitions.
• Manage a varied caseload and develop Pathway Plans.
• Attend multi-agency meetings and collaborate with families and partner organisations.
