Job summary

Raven Housing Trust is seeking a Welfare Officer to help vulnerable residents sustain their tenancy, improve wellbeing, and live independently. This hybrid role covers Croydon, Brighton and Sutton, with regular travel requirements.

You will work closely with partner agencies, manage a caseload, and advocate for residents while maintaining accurate records to deliver high-quality services in a supportive, inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable people.

• Ability to manage complex situations and advocate for residents.
• Experience working with partner agencies and local authorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of welfare, tenancy sustainment, and safeguarding support.
• Identify and assess risks; carry out welfare visits and safeguarding interventions.
• Develop practical support plans and coordinate services to achieve positive outcomes.
• Provide hands-on support to customers facing complex challenges (domestic abuse, health, disability, substance misuse, social isolation).
• Collaborate with external agencies and advocate for customers to ensure appropriate support.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to effective case management and service delivery.
