Job summary

Saint Paul’s High School is seeking a Permanent Teaching Assistant Level 2 (SAN) to support students and help overcome barriers to learning. You will work in groups under a teacher, deliver therapy programmes and ILPs, and supervise classes as required.

The role focuses on pupils with high needs, EHCPs and SEND; GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above are required. A collaborative, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above.

Responsibilities

• Support students who need help to overcome barriers to learning.
• Provide specialist support in a specific area of the curriculum.
• Work with groups of students under teacher supervision, including delivering therapy programmes of work.
• Implement individual learning plans (ILPs).
• Assist the teacher to keep the classroom and outdoor environment safe.
• Supervise groups and occasionally whole classes in or outside the main teaching area.
