Job summary

Pink Tile Education Ltd is recruiting passionate Teaching Assistants to join outstanding SEND and SEMH schools across Brighton. If you're patient and resilient, you can help children overcome barriers to learning and celebrate every achievement—big or small.

Working in small class sizes, you will build meaningful relationships with pupils, support their emotional wellbeing and contribute to a positive learning environment. Transferable experience from care or youth work is welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience within SEND/SEMH or education setting (desirable).
• Transferable experience from care, youth work, support work, coaching, residential childcare, psychology or mentoring.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Help children develop confidence, independence and resilience.
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Promote a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment.
• Celebrate every success and help pupils reach their full potential.
