Job summary

Pink Tile Education Ltd in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND across primary and secondary. Start date is 1st September with a full-time temp-to-perm pathway from day one; pay £110 per day.

Qualifications

Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
Understanding of a range of SEND and their impact on learning.
Familiarity with Makaton, PECS or similar communication tools is advantageous.
Calm, patient and positive approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Genuine passion for helping pupils reach their potential.

Responsibilities

Support children across the primary and secondary phases.
Assist pupils with SEND needs including communication needs.
Use Makaton, PECS, visual symbols and other communication methods where appropriate.
Support emotional regulation through calm strategies and positive behaviour.
Build trusting relationships to promote independence and engagement.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists and the SEND team.
Encourage academic and social development in a safe, nurturing environment.
