Mayflower Community Academy, part of the Learning Academies Trust, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our passionate team. You will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences and provide support that enables all children to succeed in a warm, inclusive school community.

The role involves supporting pupils with additional needs, monitoring progress and contributing to the wider life of the school.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in a relevant discipline.
• GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
• At least one year's experience working in a primary school.
• Committed to safeguarding and supporting all children to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning activities across the curriculum.
• Working with individual pupils and small groups to maximise progress.
• Supporting children with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion.
• Providing feedback to teachers on pupil progress.
• Assisting with classroom preparation, displays and resources.
• Supporting educational visits and wider school activities.
