Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking qualified SEND tutors and teachers in the UK to deliver Maths, English or Science tuition to learners with SEMH and SEND needs. Roles can be in-person, online, or hybrid, with flexible hours to suit your schedule.

You will work with disengaged and vulnerable learners, follow trauma-informed practices, and collaborate with local authorities and schools to plan lessons and report progress. This is a self-employed role with opportunities arising.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references.
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs.
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs.
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5, referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
