Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND tutors and teachers to support disengaged, at-risk and vulnerable learners in the UK. Roles include Maths, English or Science tuition with trauma-informed practice, flexible hours, and hybrid/remote teaching options.

Applicants should have 2+ years of teaching experience, QTS or QTLS, and an Enhanced DBS with references. This self-employed opportunity emphasizes making a difference in young lives within local authorities and schools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMDL in a trauma-informed way.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
• Enhanced DBS check and 2+ professional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Support pupils referred by local authorities and schools with flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and report lessons and provide regular progress feedback.
• Contribute to raising education standards for SEND and SEMH, including MLD/SLD/PMLD.
