Job summary

Yarnfield Primary School is part of the Summit Learning Trust in Birmingham and seeks an enthusiastic SEND HLTA to join the Enhanced Provision. You will lead targeted interventions, support teaching and learning, monitor pupil progress and help develop high-quality provision that enables every child to thrive.

The role focuses on high-needs SEND pupils, collaborates with the SENDCO and wider staff, and involves working with families and external professionals to drive inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or significant SEND experience.
• Strong SEND knowledge and inclusive teaching practices.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and professionals.
• Confident leading interventions and supporting learning across the curriculum.
• Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead learning activities, interventions and small group teaching.
• Support pupils with SEND across the curriculum.
• Contribute to EHCP reviews and annual reviews.
• Work closely with families and external professionals.
• Support and mentor Teaching Assistants within the Enhanced Provision.
• Help develop and promote inclusive practice across the school.
• Make a genuine difference to children's academic, social and emotional development.
