Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for a welcoming school in the Stafford area (ST18). This full-time, term-time-only role offers daily pay between £95 and £110 depending on experience, and the chance to support pupils with a range of special educational needs.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, help children with SEN/SEND, autism, and additional learning needs, and work closely with teachers, therapists and families to promote inclusion and progress.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEN/SEND, autism or additional needs.
• Patience, resilience and empathy.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
• Support children with SEND, autism and additional learning needs.
• Build positive relationships to encourage confidence and independence.
• Support pupils inside and outside the classroom to access the curriculum.
• Assist teachers with engaging lessons and adapt activities to needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social, emotional, and communication skills.
• Work with teachers, SEND staff, therapists and parents to support plans.
• Help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage pupils to become more independent and learn life skills.
