Job summary

Cover People are seeking a Secondary SEMH Teacher for a specialist setting in Bolton. You will deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs, building confidence and progressing outcomes.

The role is a full-time, long-term position starting September 2026, with potential to become permanent and a daily rate of £160-£230 DOE. You'll work with Teaching Assistants and staff to support pupils across the school community.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND or behavioural difficulties.
• Able to manage challenging behaviour calmly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons accessible and engaging for pupils with emotional and learning needs.
• Adapt planning, resources and strategies to keep pupils engaged and progressing.
• Provide structure and routines to support positive behaviour and learning.
• Build relationships with pupils to develop confidence and independence.
• Record and review pupil progress and contribute to targets.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, pastoral staff and other professionals.
