Job summary

Smart Education Recruitment Ltd in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to support pupils with SEMH needs in a specialist setting. You will deliver engaging lessons, manage behaviour, and contribute to personalised learning plans in a supportive environment.

This contract role offers consistent hours, a long-term position, and the opportunity to make a real difference in pupils' progress and wellbeing, with a daily rate of £140–£253 payable via PAYE or Umbrella.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• At least 6 months' experience within an SEN or SEMH setting.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to provide references covering the previous 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Develop positive relationships that encourage engagement and learning.
• Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other professionals.
