Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting SEND Support Workers for a central Durham provision to help children with PMLD. Roles are available as full-time or part-time, with flexible hours and school-based environments.

Candidates should be patient, caring and committed to including every pupil in learning. Expect 1:1 support, collaboration with EHCPs, and training in personal care tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils.
• Excellent communication with teachers, staff and external professionals.
• Patience, caring approach for pupils with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support for pupils aged 5–19 with PMLD.
• Support with the delivery of Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Encourage emotional wellbeing, communication and social development.
• Communicate clearly with teachers and professionals.
• Assist with personal care as required: Moving and Handling, Toileting, PEG feeding (training provided).
• Help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
