Job summary

Milk Education is working with a large SEND provision in Reading to recruit SEND Support Workers who want to make a positive difference for children with PMLD. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist with EHCPs, and help pupils feel safe, understood and included in learning.

Applicants should be patient, caring and have strong communication skills; DBS (Enhanced) is required. Roles available as full-time or part-time with flexible hours and 24/7 consultant support.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with complex needs in a school setting.
• Ability to support Personal Care where required; Moving and Handling and related skills.
• Open to working with pupils aged 5–19 with PMLD and other needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support for pupils aged 5–19 with PMLD.
• Support with EHCP delivery and personal care if required.
• Promote emotional wellbeing, communication and social development.
• Communicate clearly with teachers, staff and external professionals.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
