Job summary

Cambian Group is recruiting a Registered Manager in Bedfordshire to lead one of our children’s residential homes. You will drive high standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance while building a supportive, clinical-focused team.

You will manage budgets, develop care plans, and work closely with parents, carers and professionals to promote the welfare of young people. A Level 5 Diploma and strong leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in residential care of children, with 1 year in a supervisory role in the last 5 years.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willing to start within 6 months.
• Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Skilled in planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation and team leadership.
• Confident spoken and written communication.
• Knowledge of needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Participate in Meetings: Attend and contribute to child care planning and review meetings as appropriate.
• Embrace a safe culture: Ensure the children in your service are cared for at the best possible standard.
• Effective Commercial Management of your home: Ensure you manage your home aligned to budget expectations.

• Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.

• Skills: Efficient in; planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership.
• Communication: Confidence in effective spoken and written communication.
• Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
• Driving License: Full UK required.
