Qualifications

• Has good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience of working with children, preferably within a primary school setting.
• Can support pupils effectively within the classroom and through individual and small-group work.
• Can follow guidance from teachers and other professionals to support pupils' learning.
• Understands how to scaffold learning while encouraging pupils to become increasingly independent.
• Can build positive and supportive relationships with children.
• Is calm, patient and able to respond positively to pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Has good communication skills and can work effectively with staff, pupils and families.
• Is organised, flexible and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrates a commitment to inclusive practice and high expectations for all pupils.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
