Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the Radlett area. You will work with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to help pupils access learning and reach their full potential.

This full-time role offers daily pay between £85-£115 depending on experience, with ongoing training and a supportive team within a safeguarding-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a secondary school or educational setting.
• Genuine passion for supporting learners' learning and development.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, caring and nurturing approach.
• Positive behaviour management skills.
• Ability to work as part of a wider school team.
• Knowledge of safeguarding.
• Secondary school experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the secondary age range with their learning and development
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support as required
• Assist pupils with accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
• Work alongside subject teachers to support lesson delivery and learning activities
• Encourage pupils to develop independence, confidence and positive attitudes towards learning
• Support pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural development
• Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and engage positively in school life
• Monitor and communicate pupil progress and wellbeing to the class teacher and relevant staff
• Adapt support approaches to meet individual pupil needs and learning styles
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents/carers and other professionals where appropriate
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

Supply Desk are currently seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the Radlett area. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to provide pupils with the guidance and encouragement they need to access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and creating a positive, inclusive and engaging secondary school environment where every pupil feels supported and encouraged to succeed.
