Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work within Primary Schools around Brigg. You will support pupils to engage with learning, potentially providing 1:1 support, small-group work, and help with classroom activities to aid progress.

Candidates with LSA/TA experience or relevant child-support roles are welcomed. Roles offer flexible day-to-day work to longer placements, with daily pay and PAYE deductions.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary-aged children or young people.
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential.
• Experience with SEND, 1:1 support or small-group work welcomed.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Good communication and behaviour management skills.
• Patient, supportive and adaptable approach.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers and other school staff to help pupils engage with their learning and make progress. Depending on the needs of the school, you may provide 1:1 support, work with small groups, assist with classroom activities or support pupils with additional learning needs.

We are interested in hearing from experienced Learning Support Assistants, Teaching Assistants and individuals with relevant experience supporting children or young people. Opportunities can range from flexible day-to-day work to short and long-term placements.

We are looking for Learning Support Assistants who have:

• Experience supporting primary-aged children or young people in a relevant setting
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
• Experience with SEND, 1:1 support, interventions or small-group work is welcomed
• The ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils
• Good communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, supportive and adaptable approach
