Job summary

TeacherActive is inviting applications for Learning Support Assistants to work in primary schools across Brigg and the surrounding area. You will support pupils to engage with learning, providing 1:1 or small-group assistance and helping with classroom activities or special needs support.

We welcome applicants with experience as Learning Support Assistants or Teaching Assistants and those with relevant experience supporting children or young people.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary-aged children or young people in a relevant setting
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
• Experience with SEND, 1:1 support, interventions or small-group work is welcomed
• The ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils
• Good communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, supportive and adaptable approach

Responsibilities

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers and other school staff to help pupils engage with their learning and make progress. Depending on the needs of the school, you may provide 1:1 support, work with small groups, assist with classroom activities or support pupils with additional learning needs.

We are interested in hearing from experienced Learning Support Assistants, Teaching Assistants and individuals with relevant experience supporting children or young people. Opportunities can range from flexible day-to-day work to short and long-term placements.

We are looking for Learning Support Assistants who have:
