Job summary

Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing seeks an experienced Operations Manager to provide leadership across a portfolio of supported living and housing services. You will oversee specialist housing management and services for adults with needs, including homelessness, asylum seekers and mental health support.

This role emphasizes safety, compliance, and delivering value-for-money outcomes for customers, while driving performance and continuous improvement across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing supported housing or support services for adults with support needs.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, housing law, welfare benefits and best practice in supported housing.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and driving performance in a multi-site environment.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including commissioners.
• Experience managing budgets and delivering cost-effective services.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.
• A values-driven approach, promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Understanding of Psychologically Informed Environments and Trauma Informed Care (desirable).
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing multi-site teams to deliver high-quality supported housing services.
• Driving performance against KPIs, regulatory standards and contractual requirements.
• Embedding a strong safeguarding culture and overseeing incidents, complaints and risk.
• Managing relationships with commissioners, partners and stakeholders.
• Supporting service development, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Managing service budgets and ensuring efficient, effective resource deployment.
