Job summary

TipTopJob is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant at a primary school in Lambeth near Streatham Common. The role supports pupils with additional learning needs, working one-to-one or in small groups, and helps pupils engage with lessons.

The ideal candidate is patient, a strong communicator and comfortable supporting children with diverse needs. The post offers a long-term, full-time contract starting 14th September 2026 and a daily rate of £100–£120, dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Interest in helping children succeed and a proactive approach.
• Willingness to work with pupils with SEND and different needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs and SEND
• Delivering structured small:group activities and interventions
• Helping children access lessons through adapted resources and targeted support
• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence and emotional development
• Building trusting, professional relationships with pupils
• Working closely with teachers, the SENCO and other support staff
