Outcomes First Group, via Crookhey Hall School, is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to help students overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve outcomes they may not have imagined. This role goes beyond the classroom, offering a chance to be a trusted adult providing encouragement, stability and support when needed most.

You will work with students in class, small groups and 1:1, building relationships, supporting learning plans and promoting independence.

Qualifications

• Patience, resilience and commitment to build positive relationships with young people.
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent are required.
• A caring, patient and positive approach to supporting young people.
• The resilience to stay calm and consistent in challenging situations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Reliability, professionalism and understanding of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students in class, in small groups and 1:1 to help them achieve goals.
• Building positive, trusting relationships so students feel safe and ready to learn.
• Working with teachers to deliver personalised support and learning programmes.
• Encouraging independence, confidence, communication and personal development.
• Providing calm, consistent support during challenging moments and helping regulate emotions.
• Supporting educational visits, enrichment activities and learning beyond the classroom.
• Celebrating progress and helping create a positive environment for success.
