Job summary

Parkside House School, part of Outcomes First Group, is an SEMH Independent Special School with sites in Backworth and Ashington. We are seeking a passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team and help pupils flourish, build confidence and reach their personal best.

You will provide tailored one-to-one and small group support, foster positive relationships, support lessons, promote inclusive learning, and help safeguard pupils in a caring, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is a plus.
• Willingness to work across sites Backworth and Ashington.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to build pupils' confidence and independence.
• Develop positive relationships that nurture personal, social and emotional growth.
• Assist teachers to deliver engaging lessons and adapt activities to individual needs.
• Create a welcoming, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies to keep pupils safe.
