Outcomes First Schools is hiring a Learning Support Assistant 1:1 at Crookhey Hall School, near Cockerham. This permanent, term-time role offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4pm, with a start in November 2026. Salary is £22,160.62 per annum, not pro rata, and UK applicants only with no sponsorship available.

You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student, fostering resilience, confidence and successful engagement in learning and activities across the school day.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) are required.
• A Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• A patient and resilient approach with young people.
• Ability to build positive, professional relationships with young people.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, reliability and safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
• Help a student access learning and engage positively in education.
• Build a trusting relationship to promote confidence and self-esteem.
• Support emotional wellbeing, social development and behaviour.
• Adapt approach to meet individual needs and encourage independence.
• Support participation in enrichment activities and visits.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and broader school team.
• Monitor progress and celebrate achievements, big or small.
• Assist with developing personalised support plans.
