Job summary

Tradewind Education in Rotherham is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school on a full-time, long-term supply basis starting after the October half term. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to students across the school, helping them access learning, build confidence and make progress, with opportunities to develop a career in education.

Experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant is preferred, Level 2/3 TA

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping students reach potential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential for this role.
Patience, empathy and a calm, supportive approach when supporting learners.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students in and outside the classroom.
Support students with learning tasks and help them access learning.
Work with teaching staff to ensure appropriate support and encouragement.
Help students develop confidence, independence and engagement in education.
Support students with additional needs and safeguarding procedures.
