Job summary

Tradewind Education are recruiting a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Rotherham on a full-time, long-term supply basis, starting after the October half term.

You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping students access learning and develop confidence while working closely with teaching staff to tailor support. This role suits experienced TAs looking to progress in education.

Responsibilities

• Help students develop their confidence, independence and engagement with education.
• Support students who may have additional learning needs, SEND or other barriers to learning.
• Adapt support strategies to meet individual students' needs.
• Assist with classroom activities and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote students' social and emotional development.
• Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
• Build positive and professional relationships with students, staff and parents/carers where appropriate.

About the Role

Tradewind Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Rotherham on a full-time, long-term supply basis, starting after the October half term.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to students across the school, helping them to access learning, develop their confidence and make positive progress. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or someone with relevant experience working with young people who is looking to develop their career within education.

• A relevant qualification such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential where suitable experience is demonstrated.
