Job summary

Tradewind Education are recruiting a full-time Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a large, welcoming academy in Doncaster. You will support pupils across a range of subjects, assisting teachers and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

The role is ideal for an experienced TA or someone looking to develop in education, with responsibilities including one-to-one and small-group support, safeguarding, and helping students reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths grade C/4 or above or equivalent.
• Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and the ability to build positive relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Support students in lessons across a range of subjects.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support as required.
• Help students access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
• Support students with additional learning needs and barriers to learning.
• Work with teachers to implement effective learning strategies.
• Encourage good behaviour and active participation.
• Support students’ confidence, independence and social skills.
• Monitor and report on progress as appropriate.
• Assist with safeguarding and welfare of children.
