Job summary

Park Aspire AP Academy is seeking a Learning and Behaviour Assistant to support pupils in an Alternative Provision setting. The role focuses on managing behaviour, building trusting relationships, and enabling pupils to engage with learning in a calm, supportive environment.

The successful candidate will have at least three years' experience, be able to respond sensitively to complex needs, and work with families and external agencies to help pupils regain confidence and prepare for the next

Qualifications

• Understanding of complex emotional, social and behavioural needs of pupils.
• Experience in supporting pupils with SEN/SEMH needs.
• Understand child development and learning.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective behaviour management to pupils.
• Act as a role model, establishing productive relationships with pupils.
• Use specialist learning skills to support pupils.
• Have an understanding of child development and learning.
