The Westleigh School in Preston is seeking an Intervention Support Worker to join our supportive team. You will deliver targeted interventions to help students access learning, improve progress and build confidence, working with small groups and individuals under the guidance of teaching and SEND staff.

You will monitor progress, foster positive attitudes, support those with additional needs, and collaborate with families to ensure a consistent approach.

Responsabilités

• Delivering targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions to support students' progress and achievement.
• Supporting students to develop their confidence, resilience, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Helping students overcome barriers to learning, including academic, social and emotional challenges.
• Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to teachers and relevant colleagues.
• Building positive relationships with students and encouraging engagement, participation and a positive attitude towards learning.
• Supporting students with additional needs, where appropriate, to access the curriculum.
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams and families to ensure a consistent approach to student support.
• Promoting the school's values, high expectations and commitment to safeguarding.
