Job summary

Bridge-It Housing is seeking a Housing Support Worker in Kirklees. The role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with travel across the local area. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in support, customer-facing or community roles.
• Ability to support vulnerable people with empathy and boundaries.
• Understanding of homelessness, mental health and financial hardship issues.
• Able to work independently, manage workload, and keep records.
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Help clients access benefits, health, education, employment and banking services.
• Support clients to build confidence and community connections.
• Complete sign-ups, maintain records, assist with key documents.
• Hold regular support sessions and welfare checks.
• Coordinate with agencies, landlords and providers to join up services.
• Manage workloads, maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards.
• Support colleagues and promote equality and diversity.
