Job summary

Ngccare is seeking a Family Support Worker to provide practical, emotional and advocacy support to children, young people and families to improve wellbeing and strengthen relationships. You will assess needs, develop tailored support plans and work with professionals to ensure families receive appropriate help.

You will build relationships, advocate for families, and navigate education, health, housing and community services while complying with safeguarding policies and GDPR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with children, young people, parents and carers.

• Support access to education, health, housing, financial, and community services.
• Advocate for families and help navigate complex systems.
• Monitor progress and adapt plans as required.
• Maintain confidential records in line with policies and GDPR.
• Collaborate with schools, healthcare professionals, social workers and agencies.
• Adhere to safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety policies.
• Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and anti-discriminatory practice.
