Job summary

Morgan Hunt Recruitment is recruiting for a Supported Employability Specialist in Birmingham. The role is a community-based, fixed-term contract offering £30,000 per annum and a 36.5-hour week, with a potential extension subject to funding.

You will deliver one-to-one employability support, engage with local employers, source work experience and training pathways, and provide ongoing in-work support to help participants secure and sustain employment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with barriers to employment.
• Experience in employer engagement or job brokerage.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and data management.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
• Ability to travel across Birmingham as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one employability support, action planning, and job coaching.
• Build relationships with local employers and generate job opportunities.
• Source work experience, apprenticeships, traineeships, and employment pathways.
• Support clients with job searches, applications, and workplace adjustments.
• Provide ongoing in-work support to help individuals sustain employment.
• Develop partnerships with training providers, colleges, and community organisations.
• Promote the service through outreach activities, networking events, and job fairs.
• Maintain accurate records, monitor outcomes, and produce reports.
