Job summary

Bolton Council is seeking a committed individual to join the SEND Assessment Service as we prepare for SEND reform. You will support EHC Needs Assessments and develop and review EHCPs, helping children and young people access the support they need to thrive.

In this role you will work with families, schools and professionals to ensure plans remain effective and meet changing needs. A welcoming team and opportunities for professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 4 qualification or significant proven relevant experience.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage competing priorities and statutory timescales.
• Ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of people and build partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Support Education, Health and Care (EHC) Needs Assessments and develop EHCPs.
• Contribute to the Annual Review process with families, schools and professionals.
• Build positive partnerships across education, health and social care to stay child-centred.
• Work with colleagues to shape SEND services and improve outcomes for children.
