Job summary

We Do Social Work is seeking an experienced SEND Needs Assessment Plan Writer to join our SEND team, focusing on Education, Health and Care Plans for children and young people with SEND. You will coordinate information from education, health, social care and other professionals to produce high-quality EHCPs within statutory timescales.

You will lead co-production meetings with children, families and partner agencies, ensuring their views are reflected in the final plan and maintaining clear

Qualifications

• Experience of writing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong IT and administrative skills; able to use a range of systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track new EHC needs assessments within statutory timescales.
• Review and analyse information from professionals, families, settings and agencies.
• Write clear, accurate EHCPs for children and young people.
• Lead and facilitate co-production meetings with children, young people, families and partners.
• Maintain accurate records to support the EHCP process.
• Liaise with professionals to gather information and resources.
• Work with SEND colleagues to maintain communication throughout the process.
• Ensure work complies with SEND legislation and guidance.
• Promote a person-centred and outcome-focused approach.
• Represent SEND in multi-agency meetings.
