Job summary

ITS Ltd Sheffield is seeking a forward-thinking Control Systems Engineer to join our growing team. You will design and develop PLC, SCADA, and control solutions for high-impact projects across energy, infrastructure, metals, and manufacturing sectors.

From concept through commissioning and handover, you will work closely with clients and colleagues, perform FAT/SAT testing on-site, and help deliver safety-critical systems while promoting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in PLC programming and industrial control systems.
• Knowledge of SCADA, automation, and system integration.
• Exposure to critical infrastructure projects (energy, metals, Petrochem, etc.).
• Strong understanding of safety and compliance.
• Familiarity with Siemens / Rockwell platforms.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing PLC, SCADA, and control system solutions, often for critical infrastructure projects
• Delivering safety-critical solutions, including Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
• Taking projects from concept through to commissioning and handover
• Getting hands-on with FAT/SAT testing and on-site commissioning
• Working closely with clients, colleagues and stakeholders to exceed their expectations
• Solving real-world engineering challenges in high-stakes environments
