Job summary

ITI Group in Leeds is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the design, development, costing and integration of innovative control and SCADA systems. You will mentor junior engineers, guide cross‑functional teams and ensure delivery to high quality standards across diverse projects.

As a senior member you’ll drive technical leadership, assist with project planning, and collaborate with Project Managers to deliver safe, on‑time solutions.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in controls engineering or SCADA design.
• In depth knowledge of PLC, HMI, OPC packages and related software.
• Experience with Ignition (Vision or Perspective) or similar SCADA technologies.
• Database configuration and querying experience (MySQL, MS SQL).
• Experience in creating URS, FDS, SDS, Testing Documents, User Manuals and RAMS.
• Experience in scripting using Python, Java or similar languages.
• A full UK driving licence or working towards one.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex control system architectures and specifications.
• Integrate subsystems to form cohesive, high‑performing systems.
• Develop and execute testing and validation routines.
• Prepare and review technical documentation and RAMS.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide cross‑functional teams.
• Support proposals and estimation of engineering effort for opportunities.
• Assist with site commissioning and ensure health and safety compliance.
