Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker in Ely, Cambridgeshire to support young people aged 8 to 18 with EBD in a good, residential service. This full-time permanent role offers a welcoming environment where you can help young people develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• Must hold a full UK manual driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives, age-appropriate.
• Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting.
• Deal with challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically.
• Protect children and young people from risks to health and welfare.
• Support young people in promoting independence and wellbeing.
• Follow care plans, guidelines, and communication methods to ensure safety.
• Develop positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers and other professionals.
