Job summary

Candl Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Children's Residential Support Worker to join a supportive residential home in Littleover, Derby. You will work with children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), providing structure, safety and positive relationships to help them feel secure and grow.

We welcome candidates with prior experience in residential settings, safeguarding knowledge, and a flexible shift pattern including sleep-ins.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in care settings.
• Experience in a children's residential home or similar setting.
• Experience supporting EBD/SEMH or challenging behaviour.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and professional boundaries.
• Ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Reliable, patient and consistent approach.
• Willingness to work residential shifts, including sleep-ins.

• Helping create a safe, structured and nurturing home.
