Job summary

Imperial Health Charity is seeking an Impact & Evaluation Manager on a 21-hour-per-week maternity cover contract in London, with hybrid working. The role leads measurement of impact, evaluation and reporting across the charity, guiding teams and SMT to demonstrate progress against strategic objectives and NHS-related outcomes.

You will ensure teams have tools and evidence to evaluate their work, source and analyse data, and present impact clearly for stakeholders and supporters.

Qualifications

  • Experience evaluating impact in charitable funding or health-related charities.
  • Proven ability to develop dashboards and reporting for stakeholders.
  • Strong data analysis skills across quantitative and qualitative measures.
  • Comfort with monitoring, evaluation and impact concepts.

Impact & Evaluation Manager (Mat Cover) London, W2 (with hybrid working)

We are Imperial Health Charity, an organisation that helps our hospitals do more through grants, arts, volunteering, and fundraising. We support the five hospitals of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust: Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlottes & Chelsea, St Marys, and the Western Eye. We are now looking for an Impact & Evaluation Manager to join us on a part-time basis, working 21 hours per week, on a maternity cover contract of up to 10 months, until August 2027.

About the Role

As our Impact & Evaluation Manager, you’ll lead our refreshed approach to measuring the impact, evaluation and reporting of our work, following the launch of our new strategy. Working with our SMT, teams across the charity and colleagues at the Trust, you’ll provide guidance and support across monitoring and evaluation, helping us demonstrate progress against our strategic objectives and the impact we deliver for patients and NHS staff.

You’ll ensure teams have the tools, systems, support and evidence they need to evaluate their work effectively, sourcing and analysing data and helping to present our impact in engaging ways for stakeholders and supporters. Additionally, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day advice and support on evaluation and impact measurement
  • Help teams evaluate the impact of their work
  • Support the development of effective monitoring and evaluation tools and systems
About You

To be considered as our Impact & Evaluation Manager, you will need:

  • Demonstrable experience of evaluating impact in the charitable funding sector
  • Experience of providing evaluation and impact advice and supporting those conducting evaluations and impact measurement
  • Expertise in creating dashboards using software such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Demonstrable knowledge of monitoring, evaluation and impact
  • An academic level of understanding of quantitative and qualitative measures, with confidence in analysing and interpreting data
  • A demonstrable understanding of evaluation approaches
  • Excellent numerical, statistical and analytical skills, with experience of analysing data and writing clear, concise analysis
  • Excellent MS Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
