Job summary

University of the Built Environment is seeking an Impact and Evaluation Officer to design and strengthen evaluation frameworks for educational initiatives, transforming data into actionable insights and communicating impact to senior leaders.

The role focuses on monitoring outcomes, learning from evaluation results, and driving improvements across widening participation, student success, and related projects.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in conducting programme, project or service evaluations.
• Previous experience monitoring outcomes and measuring impact against objectives.
• Knowledge of impact evaluation methodologies.
• Strong report-writing and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

Impact and Evaluation Officer

Full or part time (a minimum of 28 hrs/wk), permanent Split place of work between Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) and Home Salary range £27,000 to £29,000 pa plus benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join our Widening Participation team in this brand-new role. As the Impact and Evaluation Officer, you will support the development of innovative evaluation frameworks, transform data into meaningful insights, and demonstrate the impact of our educational, access, participation and student success initiatives.

You'll use both qualitative and quantitative analysis to drive continuous improvement, influence key priorities, and help deliver our mission of creating accessible opportunities and enhancing success for future built environment professionals.

Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:
