Job summary

IMU Biosciences in London is seeking a Scientist I to join the wet lab platform team and generate high-quality, reproducible immunology data. You will operate the immune profiling platform, including spectral flow cytometry and single-cell genomics workflows, while supporting multiple projects and collaborating with colleagues.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in a relevant biological science with hands-on laboratory experience.
• Strong practical experience in flow cytometry with multi-parameter panels.
• Experience isolating immune cells from human blood or tissue samples.
• High attention to data quality and reproducibility.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proactive, independent and collaborative team player.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work time-sensitive sample workflows on Saturdays when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform immune phenotyping and functional assays using high-parameter flow cytometry.
• Isolate and process human blood and tissue samples.
• Prepare samples for single-cell sequencing workflows.
• Support data handling, documentation, and storage to internal standards.
• Maintain laboratory quality control processes.
• Perform instrument QC checks and basic troubleshooting.
• Ensure accurate execution of SOPs and high data quality.
• Work collaboratively across the lab to support multiple projects.
• Communicate progress and provide updates to the team.
• Coordinate sample receipt and logistics with external partners.
• Contribute to reagent preparation, stock management and equipment upkeep.
• Ensure samples, reagents and materials are stored and tracked properly.
• Contribute to workflow optimization and adoption of new techniques.
