Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to join the Immunology Department of our ISO15189:2022 accredited laboratory. We provide diagnostic and monitoring services to patients across a wide geographical area, supporting acute services at Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole General Hospital within the Trust.

We are a supportive Trust committed to developing our staff, with training and CPD opportunities available.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required on appointment.
• Experience in immunology or clinical pathology is desirable.
• Commitment to CPD and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blood, body fluids, tissues and cells using specialised equipment to aid diagnosis and treatment monitoring.
• Assist in day-to-day organisation and delivery of a clinical pathology service.
• Contribute to teaching and development of trainee staff and support workers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immunology developments as part of CPD.
