University Hospitals Dorset is seeking a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to join the Immunology Department at Royal Bournemouth Hospital. The role is band 5 on a permanent full-time contract, based at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital with responsibilities across the One Dorset Pathology service.

You will contribute to diagnostic immunology, teaching, and CPD, and support flexible service delivery. The successful candidate will have HCPC registration, an IBMS portfolio or working towards it,

Qualifications

• HCPC Registration is essential.
• Honours degree or equivalent in a biological science as acceptable by IBMS.
• Completion of IBMS Registration Portfolio is required.
• Working towards IBMS Specialist Portfolio is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Act in a scientific role analyzing blood, body fluids, tissues and cells to diagnose disease and monitor treatment.
• Delegate tasks and organise day-to-day clinical pathology service delivery.
• Assist in teaching and development of trainee staff and support workers.
• Maintain CPD and up-to-date knowledge of Immunology developments.
