Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Carmarthen to join a well-established food manufacturing business. You'll join a close-knit engineering team and help keep production running safely and efficiently.

The role covers planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis on mechanical and electrical systems, and support for continuous improvement while ensuring food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance engineer in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Be comfortable with beef-based products.
• Proactive maintenance mindset.
• Willingness to work shifts and adapt to production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across food production equipment.
• Support continuous improvement activities to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Work on packing lines, processing equipment and ovens.
• Collaborate with production teams to meet performance targets.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and engineering compliance.
